Clonter

TOSCA

Sat 19 – Sat 26 July 2025

One of Puccini’s most famous and best loved operas, Tosca is a story of passion, power and betrayal, where love burns brightly but is ultimately consumed by treachery and sacrifice, set against the political turmoil of Rome.

Taking place over an action packed 24 hours, Tosca is a full blooded drama where we witness the opera singer Floria Tosca attempting to save the life of her lover, the artist Mario Cavaradossi, from the ruthless and sadistic Baron Scarpia.

Every moment is charged with emotion, making it one of the most gripping operas ever written.

Clonter’s production will be sung in Italian with orchestra and English surtitles.

Trigger Warning: The show will contain scenes of abuse of power, attempted rape, physical violence, gun violence with the sound of gun shots, and film footage implying suicide.

Age recommendation: 12+
